Florida Lake Clean-Up for World Water Day
To raise awareness on the state of pollution in water bodies for World Waters Day, the Zero Waste Foundation supported by the Dont Waste Group, partnered with Clearwater Mall to facilitate a clean up at Florida Lake in Gauteng.
Why is World Water Day Important?
On a global scale, 2 billion people are currently living without access to safe water. Hence the core focus of World Water Day is to “inspire action towards Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030.”
