YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL SAVINGS THROUGH
DON’T WASTE SERVICES.
THE DONT WASTE RECYCLING JOURNEY
As a leader in waste minimisation we help clients identify and
manage all recyclers and service providers using our innovative
waste management technology to recycle waste.
To recycle waste is the process of converting discarded materials into new products to promote the circular economy of waste. The circular economy strives to eliminate waste, keep resources in circulation and regenerate nature to protect our environment. Every time an item is recycled it diverts waste from landfill sites and reduces the negative impacts on the environment.
DON’T WASTE gives clients access to a diverse range of recycling markets. Minimise waste sent to landfill and maximise your environmental savings by ensuring all possible waste streams are recycled.
Most paper is recyclable and can be diverted from
landfill sites. There are a wide range of paper and
cardboard materials that can be recycled to earn you a
rebate and improve your environmental performance.
Globally, more than 300 million metric tons of
plastic waste is generated each year. Only 9% of
all plastic waste ever produced has been
recycled. There are multiple plastic resins that
need to be correctly identified and recycled to
prevent plastic waste from ending up in the
environment and the ocean.
Common examples of recyclable plastic include:
Glass is 100% recyclable and can be recycled indefinitely
without losing its purity or quality. When glass ends up in
the environment it can take thousands of years to
decompose.
Aluminium is the most valuable recyclable in
your waste bin. It can be recycled indefinitely
and is highly durable. With nearly 75% of all
aluminium ever produced still in use today.
Recycling steel and cans also saves a
considerable amount of energy.
Recycling E-Waste is essential to ensure the
hazardous components do not pollute the
environment. E-waste includes all Electrical and
Electronic Equipment (“EEE”) that runs on batteries or
electricity, including, but not limited to:
Organic waste is one of the largest waste
streams sent to landfill. When food waste is sent
to landfills it produces methane, a greenhouse
gas roughly 28 times more potent than carbon
dioxide. Recycling organic waste equates to a
large environmental saving. DON’T WASTE
identifies and recommends on and off site solutions.
CONSERVES NATURAL
RESOURCES
When we recycle, used materials are transformed into new products extending their life cycle and reducing the need to consume valuable natural resources.
REDUCES POLLUTION
AND LITTER
Recycling plays a valuable role by reducing pollution and litter, helping to keep our
environment clean.
SAVES ENERGY
The energy required for manufacturing is significantly lower when using recycled materials in comparison to virgin materials.
REDUCES WASTE
To recycle waste reduces the volume of waste sent to landfill sites since the waste is diverted and reprocessed into a new product.
LOWERS GREENHOUSE
GAS EMISSIONS
Recycling helps to protect the environment by substantially reducing greenhouse gas emissions which help to tackle the climate crisis.
We view our client’s sustainability journey as a partnership. From August
2020 to July 2021, we have partnered with our clients to achieve the
following environmental savings.
